Moo’s journey began at a shelter after being surrendered by her previous owners. She was terrified, so much so that she was placed on the euthanasia list. But as soon as her future family heard about her, they couldn’t let that happen. They applied for her right away, determined to give Moo the safe and loving home she deserved.
From Fearful to Trusting
At first, Moo was full of anxiety. She would accept pets but never fully relax or sit close to anyone. It was clear she felt on edge, unsure of her surroundings. But after two months in her new home, everything changed. Moo now seeks out her favorite people, choosing to sit right next to them on the couch. Her soft, fluffy body pressed against theirs is a heartwarming sign of the trust and comfort she’s found.
Signs of a Former Home
From the moment she walked in the door, Moo seemed familiar with home life. She confidently explored the house, opening doors, sniffing around, and hopping right up on the couch. But despite her boldness indoors, she isn’t enthusiastic about going for walks. Moo has severe hip dysplasia—her hips are essentially bone-on-bone—so walking can be painful. Her family has her on pain medication and is doing their best to manage her condition. They’re also not sure if her reluctance comes from her discomfort or simply adjusting to the new neighborhood.
A Big, Fluffy Cloud
Moo’s appearance makes her impossible to miss. She looks like a giant, fluffy white cloud with an endearing look of concern, as if she’s always wearing eyeliner. In just a short time, she’s transformed into a loving companion, bringing warmth and joy to her new home.
Her unique face stops people in their tracks—sometimes, cars pause a little too long at stop signs just to stare. On more than one occasion, someone has rolled down their window to shout, “I love your dog!”
